Books have been slow to roll out player props for Week 18 odds because of the uncertainty of who will be playing. That’s especially true for defensive player props, with far less available on the board compared to previous weeks.
Thankfully there are a few games that matter, so we have some defensive props to dig into. This week in NFL odds, I’m fading a trio of pass rushers on their sack total — including Miami’s Christian Wilkins, who will have a tough time on Sunday night against Buffalo.
Here are my best free sack and tackle NFL picks for Week 18.

The AFC’s best rivalry is back with the Cincinnati Bengals hoping to turn Arrowhead into Burrowhead again when they play the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon.
However, with Cincinnati’s rough start and Joe Burrow’s wrist issues, I’m expecting more problems for the Orange & Black in my Bengals vs. Chiefs props and NFL picks.
Don’t miss our full Bengals vs. Chiefs predictions!

A key reason cited by the Scottish Professional Football League for bringing an immediate end to this season is not backed up in detail in its accounts.
SPFL executives have said the organisation cannot risk loaning money to clubs struggling amid the coronavirus shutdown because a loan made to Gretna in 2008 was never fully repaid when the club went bust.

The SPFL favoured ending the season now so it could distribute prize money across the four divisions according to league position and try to ensure no clubs go out of business. The bottom three tiers have already received money with their campaigns closed.
Mexican soccer authorities on Tuesday ordered Queretaro to play their home games in an empty stadium for a year after fans went on a bloody rampage in a brawl that injured at least 26 people and made global headlines.
The punishments meted out by Mexico’s top-flight men’s soccer league and the country’s soccer federation will also ban Queretaro spectators, including the rowdy fan clubs known as ‘barras’, from attending away games for three years, league president Mikel Arriola told reporters.

The footballer Francis Lee, who has died aged 79, was a prolific striker who won the First Division title with Manchester City in 1968 and then did the same with Derby County in 1975. Up front in various positions for England he was also a highly effective operator, including at the 1970 World Cup finals in Mexico, where he appeared in celebrated matches against Brazil and West Germany.
Short and stocky, golden-haired, self-confident and tenacious, Lee also won the FA Cup, the League Cup and the European Cup Winners’ Cup during a glorious period with City, for whom he was the leading goal scorer across five seasons, partly thanks to his great ability at winning and taking penalties. For England he scored 10 goals in 27 appearances between …

Last season we did our weekly rookie quarterback tracker, but with only one taken in the first round in 2022, we’ve moved onto another highly coveted position. This season we’ll keep up with all six first-round wide receivers and track their progress throughout the year. In Week 1, we’ve already seen some of these guys impact their new teams positively. The one exception on the list for at least the first few weeks of the season will be Detroit Lions No. 1 pick, Jameson Williams, from Alabama. Williams tore his ACL in last year’s National Championship game but is on track to make his debut for the Lions this season. Let’s see how this year’s crop of rookies stacks up. Here's one more reason to never, ever, ever let your kids near anything in a fraternity: this godawful email from an active member of the Georgia Tech Phi Kappa Tau frat, titled "Luring your Rapebait". It goes downhill from there. Total Frat Move has the full email, which you can read here. The rapey-but-seriously-don't-rape-wink-wink guide starts out innocently enough. The writer, name redacted here, sets out to educate his "chods" about how to mack and succeed at parties. All bold emphasis added: For anytime throughout the party… If you are standing by yourself at any point, YOU ARE OUTTA HERE!!! If you are talking to a brother of your pledge brothers when there are girls just standing around, YOU ARE OUTTA HERE!!! Echoes of our hero, deranged Sor…
We had an awards show last night, and it went much better than many of us thought it would. There were some good jokes! Clark The Cub was there! Daniel Radcliffe stole the show! We’re all still sort of drunk! Anyway, if you did not get to attend the ceremony or watch the proceedings on Facebook, we recorded the whole shebang for posterity. Start with Jezebel culture editor Julianne Escobedo Shepherd’s red carpet show. There were so many amazing looks. Everything was amazing: And now for the show itself (a highlight reel of sorts is at the top of this post; here’s the full, complete show as broadcast): If we look weird it’s because it was 5,000 degrees in that damn venue. And here is the list of winners: Sportsperson of the Year: Jim Tomsula Best Highlight: Jose Bautista…
